MARC ROSSET

Swiss tennis player born in 1970. In the course of a 15 year career with more than 1’000 matches on the the ATC circuit, he won 15 singles titles, beating several N°1 players worldwide such as Agassi, Sampras, Becker, Edberg, Courier, Safin…

His best rankings were : 9th in singles and 8th in doubles.

He was the first Olympic tennis champion in 1992.

His best grand slam achievements were as a semi-finalist at Roland Garros (1996), a semi-finalist at the Australian Open (1999).

Marc Rosset represented Switzerland at the Davis Cup tournaments from 1992 to 2003 (finalist in the USA in 1992).

He was Captain of the Swiss team at the Davis Cup tournaments including as semi-finalist against Australia.

He belongs to the very select club of the eight players in the world to have won a tournament on the four different types of tennis court surface.

 

Marc Rosset is now consultant on the RTS (Swiss Radio Television) for several years.
